You are a gift to yourself, your people, and the world. Your gifts belong to you. Bring your questions, your creativity, and the person you are becoming. Callings offers room to discover what is already within you.
Do I have to become a minister?
No. Ministry is one possible vocation among many. Callings supports honest discernment without pressure to choose a profession or church office.
Do I have to identify as Christian?
While the Callings curriculum centers African and African diasporic spiritualities and Christian mysticism, we are an open and inclusive community and curate both our experiences and participants within and outside these spiritual traditions.
Who owns my art and writing?
You do. The Institute needs separate written permission to display, reproduce, or publish your work. Parent or guardian permission may also apply when the participant is a minor.
Will my story remain private?
Personal reflections remain private within stated limits. Staff cannot promise secrecy when they believe someone faces abuse, neglect, self-harm, or serious danger.
Can I say no?
You may decline a prompt, ask for another form of participation, request another shepherd, or report a concern. Staff will explain any safety or cohort requirement that cannot be optional.
What does it cost?
Cost and coverage details will be announced before enrollment opens, including travel, meals, lodging, materials, and access support.
